This Beastiary only covers creatures exclusive to Skyrim, Solsheim, and Northern Skyrim. Creatures that exist in this region as well as others are listed elsewhere.
Animals
Bear, Snow
Rare magical beasts usually only found on Solstheim. They are aggressive to all who approach them and have freezing cold breathe. Their hides have frost resistant properties.
Special: Frost Breath, Immune to Frost
Bristleback, Tusked
A cruel and vicious animal. The Rieklings use these boar relatives as mounts, and have bred the creatures to be even more warlike and dangerous.
Special: Immune to frost
Horker
Odd beasts. Seem fairly docile, but they can be vicious if provoked. They are strong swimmers and fierce fighters, on land and in the sea. They are usually found around northern islands and along the northern coastline.
Special: Water Breathing, Immune to Frost
Wolf, Snow
Snow Wolves are larger, more elusive cousins of Solstheim's common Wolves. They have a thick coat that protects them from the frost and cold. It is said their attacks have been known to freeze human flesh.
Special: Frost Breathe, Immune to Frost
Humanoids
Giant, Frost
Giant woolly humanoids with 4 eyes. While they may look primitive they have a keen intelligence. They often life alone, guarded by goblins, or in Solstheim’s case, Rieklings.
Special: Immune to Frost
Lycanthrope, Werewolf
A man who turns into a beast when the night falls. They deal terrific damage with their claws, but are more susceptible to attacks by silver weapons. They are rumoured to be the followers of Hircine.
Special: Enchanced Combat abilities, detect living
Riekling
Rieklings are short blue skinned people native to Solstheim. They stand roughly 3 feet tall, but are surprisingly strong a tough. Some call them descendants of the Falmer or Frost Elves, while other think they are merely Snow Goblins. They once served the frost giant Karstaag, but since his disappearance they have taken over his castle, and turned it into their own small kingdom.
Rieklings are commonly warriors, often training and riding Frost Boars into battle. They love the hunt, and are very competitive and territorial. Rieklings are not common to make friends of other species, because they think themselves perfect, and that everyone else is too tall.
Special: Immune to Frost, resistant to Shock. They have the Furious Charge ability that gives them a small chance of reflecting enemy spells while charging
Udyrfrykte
A rare, 2-eyed breed of troll found in Skyrim and Solstheim. They exhibit most traits of the southern Cave or Forest troll.
Special: An Udyrfrykte can heal all non-serious wounds in a short period of time unless caused by fire. Fire is highly effective against these creatures.
Troll, Grahl
Dangerous to be sure. Their claws and tusks rend armour and tear flesh. They will attack alone or in packs. They usually inhabit ice caves, or are tamed into service by the Rieklings.
Special: Grahl are healed by frost attacks. A Grahl can heal all non-serious wounds in a short period of time even without frost attacks unless caused by fire. Fire is highly effective against these creatures.
