Bear
Large, powerful hunters usually found in forests. They are very protective of their dens and will attack if provoked, using their strong build, jaws, and weight.
Boar
Moderate sized creatures related to pigs. They are more aggressive, and are covered in short hair. They are usually found in forests or fields.
Clam
A simple crustacean with a hard shell. They are found underwater and a lucky adventurer might find a pearl.
Deer
Simple 4-legged animals common to plains and forests. They are often hunted by man, mer, and predatory animals for their meet. Deer are exceptionally fast beasts.
Dreugh, Water
Dreugh are ancient sea monsters, half-Human, half-Octopus in appearance. Dreugh are hunted for their hides, which are used for making armour, and Dreugh wax, a tough, waxy substance with modest magical properties, scraped from Dreugh shells. While Dreugh do not communicate with the known races, many old stories involve talking Dreugh. Their exact connection to the Land Dreugh is unknown.
Special: Shock Resistance, Waterbreathing
Horse
Peaceful 4 legged mammals often found in plains. They are commonly trained and bred by the races of Tamriel as mounts to quickly transport them across large pieces of land, or assist them in battle. Horses come in a variety of colours and breeds. Horses are not found on Vvardenfell, and rarely in Morrowind, due to the lack of long grass for them to feed on, and the terrifying other creatures that inhabit it.
Lion
4-legged plains and mountain predators. They are crafty and intelligent felines that combine agility and strength. They usually don’t both the common races unless starved or one is foolish enough to disturb their lair.
Mudcrab
The Mudcrab is a large, edible crab found in marine, coastal, and cavern environments. The Mudcrab is rarely aggressive, but tough and territorial, and groups of Mudcrabs may become a nuisance. Ones from Morrowind are generally larger, and have a tougher shell in order to adjust to the harsh environment.
Rat, Giant
The Rat is a hardy, abundant hunter-scavenger, found on the land surface and in natural and excavated underground environments. Rat meat is tough and greasy, with an unpleasant odour and taste. Nonetheless, it is cheap, abundant, and nutritious, and palatable when cooked in a stew and masked by strong spices.
Sheep
Simple, docile creatures usually found in fields and farms. They are usually kept by farmers for their wool or meat. Due to the lack of long grass in Morrowind, they are rarely seen in that region.
Slaughterfish
The Slaughterfish is an aggressive creature found both in open waters and subterranean pools. The meat of the Slaughterfish is mealy and noisome, but dried Slaughterfish scales are said by locals to be 'a crunchy treat' when prepared in the native manner.
Spriggan
Luckily for Adventurers, these strange woodland Fairykin are shy and reclusive, for they make very dangerous enemies. The old Nordic tales tell of the immortal Spriggan, who grow larger and mightier every time they fall. While in actuality Spriggans are not immortal, they are virtually impossible to kill. Once they fall down, they simply regenerate, to truly kill a Spriggan, one must kill it 3 times.
Special: Being plants, Spriggans are immune to Poison, and Resistant to Frost, but weak to fire. They must be killed 3 times (each time becoming slightly tougher), and can summon a bear as a power.
Troll, Forest or Cave
Very primitive 3-eyed humanoids that can be found in many places across Tamriel. They are savage and often will attack any they see on sight. They will eat other humanoids, and sometimes use whats left of their limbs as weapons. Trolls can regenerate at an astonishing rate, but are terribly weak to fire.
Special: A Troll can heal all non-serious wounds in a short period of time unless caused by fire. Fire is highly effective against these creatures.
Wolf
These are cunning, dangerous hunters who inhabit mostly forests and glens. They use their highly developed sense of smell to track their prey. They hunt in well organized packs, and are known for their ferocity in battle. Fast and agile, and they are careful and clever hunters and may travel in packs. The only places where wolves are not found are in deserts, deep swamps, and the volcanic region of Morrowind.
