Alteration involves manipulating the physical world and its natural properties. A character has 10 Magicka Points every hour, 15 if they are Breton, 20 if they are Altmer. A Magic Specialized class gets an additional +5.

Basic Spells:
Water Breathing:
MP: U- R4 M2
Casting Time: couple seconds.
Duration: 20 minutes
Description: The caster brings both arms with closed fists close to their chest and light purple energy surges around their arms and into their lungs. Once affected by the spell, he may then breath underwater just as comfortably as he would on the surface breathing normal air. If the spell runs out while underwater, the character has no air in his lungs, and must scramble back to the surface or cast the spell again. A character may also cast these spells on others using a similar gesture. An argonian’s water breathing ability works like this but cannot give the ability to others and has no visual or movement components.
Swift Swim:
MP: U5 R4 M2
Casting Time: couple seconds.
Duration: 20 minutes
Description: The caster brings both arms with closed fists close to their knees and light purple energy surges around their arms and into their legs. Once affected by the spell, the character may move around in the water with the skill of a fish. A caster may cast the spell on another using a similar action.
Water Walking:
MP: U5 R4 M2
Casting Time: couple seconds.
Duration: 20 minutes or until the user wills the ability away
Description: The caster brings both arms with closed fists close to their knees and light purple energy surges around their arms and into their legs. Once affected by the spell, the character may walk on the water like Jesus. The caster may cast the spells on others using a similar gesture. Unless willed away, the user may not go into the water. Casting water walking while underwater will sink you to the bottom of the body of water.
Shield:
MP: U- R4 M3
Casting Time: couple seconds.
Duration: 10 minutes or until the user wills the ability away
Description: The caster brings both of his hands together open-palmed, and a purple magical barrier forms around him. All physical attacks against the caster must break through the barrier first, reducing the strength of the attack and causing less damage. Magical enchantments of weapons are not effected by this field. A caster can only have 1 Shield or Elemental Barrier active on him at one time. If one is already on the caster, the new one takes the place of the old.
Elemental Barrier:
MP: U- R- M6
Casting Time: couple seconds.
Duration: 10 minutes or until the user wills the ability away
Description: The caster brings both of his hands together open-palmed, and a red (fire), yellow (shock), or blue (frost) magical barrier forms around him. Which one of the 3 elements the shield is is up to the caster. All physical attacks against the caster must break through the barrier first, reducing the strength of the attack and causing less damage. Magical or enchantment attacks of the element of the barrier will have next to no effect against the character. Enchanted attacks of other elements are in no way effected by the barrier. A caster can only have 1 Shield or Elemental Barrier active on him at one time.

Duration: 2 minutes
Description: The caster thrusts his arm out with an open palm in the direction of the target. A purple bolt of energy then shoots forward connecting the caster and the target for a couple of seconds. The target’s rate of falling is slowed, allowing him to easily land on the ground. The caster may target himself.
Levitate:
MP: U- R5 M4
Casting Time: Couple Seconds
Duration: 1 minute
Description: The caster brings both of his hands together open-palmed. Magical energy briefly circles around him. Afterward he may walk up or down in the air, as if a magical force were creating ground for him. When the spell ends the magical force instantly dissipates, so one better be prepared.
Simple Lock:

Description: The caster thrusts his arm out with an open palm in the direction of a door. A purple bolt of energy then shoots forward connecting the caster and the door for a couple of seconds. Casting Time: Couple Seconds
