The smallest of the beat races of Tamriel (though some have reportedly been the size of a Nord), Goblins are vile and vicious creatures, often thought of as a more primitive version of an Orc (though have no actual relation). Many years ago the Altmer took this scattered people and tried to turn them into an effective fighting force against their enemies. When the Altmer joined the Empire the armies were disbanded due to anti-slavery laws, and while many went back to their barbaric lifestyle, some groups still search the wilderness for food and supplies in order to live.
Apparently soon after King Helseth rose to the throne of Morrowind, he hired Altmer trainers to train these primitive beings once again. Due to the Nerevarine the plot was thwarted, though they fighting force was never wholly rounded up or destroyed, they simply had their leadership and trainers killed.
Goblins are generally looked down upon by all races, especially those of Elven blood, and those that a ‘civilized’ at least by their standards, live on the fringe of civilization. Some such civilized goblins have reportedly made friends with argonians due to similar treatment at the hands of Mer races. The most respected goblins usually end up being part of a thieves guild, their small size and underestimated intellect allowing them to get into places other races cannot.
Skill Boosts: Goblins naturally have some skill with Axes, Shortblades, Light Armour, Sneakl, Security, and Destruction.
Specials: Due to living in dark caves in hills and mountains possibly all their lives, Goblins have excelent vision in darkness and low light. They are also drawn to shiney objects and are better at finding hidden normal and magical items. Goblins are also capable of conjuring Fireball once a day at no MP cost.
Languages: Goblin, Aldmeris, Bonus Language (Imperial, Orc, Giant, or Nordic)
